Saida is one of Lebanon’s most charming and picturesque destinations. Even though this southern city is just 45km south of Beirut, many Lebanese have never experienced its many wonders.

The Omari Mosque, an Ottoman relic located in the Old Souk, is still in use today. It is a wonderful window to the 13th century architecture and was originally an old church of Saint John the Baptist.

The Soap Museum (+961 7 733 353) reveals the history of soap-making in Saida, and has these adorable miniature soap versions of sandals and a tarboush.
