BEIRUT ART DAYS: CELEBRATING UNITY THROUGH ART, MUSIC, AND CULTURE THIS JULY
Despite facing a series of crises over the past five years, Lebanon’s art and culture scene continues to thrive. “It is the beating heart of our country,” says l’Agenda Culturel and the Beirut Art Days Committee. They are excited to announce the first edition of Beirut Art Days, a four-day event from July 3 to July 6, 2024, spanning the entire country.
WHAT IS “BEIRUT ART DAYS”?
Myriam Shuman, Director of l’Agenda Culturel, explains: “From July 3 to 6, 2024, our country will come alive with the rhythm of art and culture. Galleries, museums, theaters, and cultural venues across Lebanon will offer a diverse array of experiences including exhibition visits, performances, screenings, private collection discoveries, lectures, concerts, debates, art tours, artist talks, and more.”
A VIBRANT CULTURAL SCENE
According to l’Agenda Culturel, Lebanon is home to 90 galleries and art foundations, 110 cultural venues, and 102 museums. These venues host nearly 2,000 events and shows annually, demonstrating remarkable resilience that deserves recognition.
“There will be more than 60 art and culture players and over 90 venues participating in this first edition of Beirut Art Days,” confirms Shuman. “They are eager to present unique cultural programs to celebrate this event. It is a message to the world that Beirut will always be a city of beauty and creativity, and that art will always be our greatest asset.”
