1- Breathe Batroun

Located in the heart of one of Lebanon’s most famous summer cities, Breathe Batroun (+961 76 878 838) is a spot to check out. The building dates back to the 1900s and was recently renovated to offer guests an authentic and homely experience.

Breathe welcomes you with its seven bedrooms that boast a mid-century modern vibe. The boutique hotel is complemented by an exceptional Japanese sushi restaurant: Sushi on the Roof.

2- Beit Noun – Mechmech

Beit Noun (+961 70 658 289) is a family-run guesthouse that exudes modernist chic with traditional and authentic hospitality. The former 100-year-old family home is located in Mechmech, a quaint village above Byblos. Its nine tastefully decorated rooms have been furnished with the works of local artisans. 

Beit Noun features an outdoor swimming pool, lobby, winter library and a little café. Make sure you spend time admiring the spectacular view of the sea and mountains from the outdoor terrace.

3- Dar Zefta – Nabatieh

Built in the early 1900s on a hill in Nabatieh by Hussein Beik el Darwiche, Dar Zefta (+961 81 895 151) will take you back in time. With its Ottoman-era features and lush gardens, it’s a place where you’ll want to stay forever. 

The property offers seven spacious and airy rooms with an open view of the garden. Hung on the walls of these rooms are paintings by Lebanese artists that perfectly blend with the wood furnishings.  The pretty garden is bursting with pine and olive trees, which surround the courtyard and pool.

 

4-  Villa Chamoun – Hasroun

When Villa Chamoun (+961 70 508 205) was built in 1965, it was first used to host foreign guests and politicians. It was later renovated and converted into a guesthouse, thus becoming a true retro-lover’s dream. Comprising six unique bedrooms, each sharing an equally mesmerizing view of the mountains and featuring soaps and lotions made of natural ingredients and infused with jasmine, the villa provides host of activities, including yoga, therapeutic massages or even personal training workouts.

5- Karaz Guesthouse – Ehden
