Assaf Bio Garden

Located in the village of Yahchouch and specifically in the neighborhood of Ghouchraya, Assaf BioGarden has been a haven for lovers of arts and crafts since its inception in 2005. As a testament to its commitment to quality and sustainability, Assaf BioGarden obtained its bio certificate in 2008, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.

Joseph Assaf, the visionary owner, embarked on this remarkable venture with just four essential plant varieties: rosemary, oregano, lavender and sage. Over the years, his dedication and passion have borne fruit, as Assaf Bio Garden now boasts an impressive collection of 12 different types of essential oils, each brimming with unique scents and therapeutic qualities.

The reach of Assaf Bio Garden extends far beyond the borders of Keserwan. The exquisite essential oils have garnered a devoted international following.

In addition, Assaf Bio Garden is currently collaborating with a pharmacist to offer workshops and sessions on how to use essential oils for aromatherapy. The planned launch of these educational endeavors is set for the beginning of 2024.

De Casa Homemade Food

In 2018, Elie and Nancy Hakmeh embarked on a creative journey that would transform the culinary landscape of Keserwan.

At De Casa Homemade Food, every delectable cheese is painstakingly handcrafted by Elie, a labor of love where no machines are allowed to intervene. The journey gained momentum when Elie found a fellow enthusiast in the world of fine cuisine who opened doors to exotic cheese imports. This spark of inspiration led to the birth of three exquisite cheese varieties: the silky burrata, the classic mozzarella and the velvety ricotta.

Elie and Nancy began collaborating with restaurants, catering services and private clients, aiming to bring their unique cheese to a broader audience. Their quest for innovation led to the creation of Cacio Cavallo, a rare and aged cheese that remained unparalleled in Lebanon. In 2022, the delicate mascarpone cheese made its debut. By 2023, they were making waves in the culinary world, participating in events like HORECA and introducing the world to “Brille” cheese.

The duo now has plans to craft cream cheese and goat cheese. The introduction of cheddar and Parmesan cheese is also on the horizon. Moreover, they’re preparing to welcome enthusiasts into their workshop in the coming months, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their creative process.
