Travel Lebanon, the first and only event highlighting the very best of the country’s tourism, traditions and heritage, is returning to the capital from 30 May to 2 June 2018 at Beirut Hippodrome.
Held concurrently with The Garden Show & Spring Festival, the event is organized by Hospitality Services with support from the USAID-funded Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development (LIVCD) Project and in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism.
More than 60 rural tourism partners from across the country, including municipalities, NGOs, ecotourism providers and specialists, will present their regions, activities, guesthouses and services during the four-day event. It is anticipated that Travel Lebanon will attract over 20,000 visitors who will be able to discover new destinations, watch artisans at work and enjoy the traditional flavors of Lebanon. There will also be workshops and live entertainment, including dabke flash mobs.
“Travel Lebanon is an opportunity for visitors to discover more about the country’s rich tourism sector, specifically rural tourism, and meet those working in it in order to plan their ultimate summer in Lebanon,” says Joumana Salame, managing director of Hospitality Services. “We highlight so many of Lebanon’s hidden gems, including eco-resorts and nature reserves, in order to encourage people to explore new places and enjoy memorable adventures throughout the season. It really is a very special event.”
