Holy Lebanon is a free travel e-guide promoting religious-based tourism and supporting the sustainable development of local communities across the country.

Launched on 7 June 2018 under the patronage of Minister of Information H.E. Melhem Riachy, the Minister of Tourism H.E. Avedis Guidanian and in the presence of religious figures, representatives and the media, the app introduces Lebanon as an attractive destination full of interesting sites to discover. It lists thousands of religious attractions, rituals and events as well as useful information about service providers that offer religious tours around the country.

“The development of the application took over two years, but it is the result of over 20 years of research,” says Dr. Nour Farra Haddad, religious anthropologist and founder of Holy Lebanon. “The idea was to create something practical, accessible and easy for users to access while respectfully promoting inter-religious tourism in Lebanon.”

Raising awareness of the enormous variety of sacred sites that are not always found in guidebooks, the application is free to download on Android and iOS.

“We wanted to make it free so that we could engage as many people as possible, locals and tourists alike. It is the most comprehensive database for multi-faith religious tourism in Lebanon and that is something we are very proud of,” says Farra Haddad.
