Taking place from 11-14 July in the main souk of Aley, the Aley Summer Festival (ASF) promises a one-of-a-kind experience, seamlessly blending various elements to take visitors on a memorable journey. We reveal some of the festival highlights.
Giving back to the community
Under the slogan “Connect, Celebrate, Embrace,” ASF aims to offer the community the best in celebration and experiences. Indeed, it is a platform for young Lebanese creatives to showcase their products and art free of charge. Additionally, ASF donates all plastic and tin cans to environmental NGOs. This year, Plastc Lab will create art installations from recycled plastic, complete with QR codes detailing the creation process and workshops for all attendees.
A journey through themed areas
Guests can look forward to a number of themed areas:
- Modern Kazderni Corner: Featuring food trucks and a community area.
- Artistic Quartier: Showcasing creative expressions.
- Family Area: Filled with snacks, sweets, and family-friendly activities.
- Country-Style Space: Offering Mouneh and handmade goods.
Children under 12 from summer camps are welcome on Friday for workshops and inclusive activities, fostering connections with peers from different areas in Lebanon.
Exciting event program
- Thursday: Opening ceremony
- Friday: Music, arts and wellness day
- Saturday: Family day with competitions and activities
- Sunday: Sports day featuring a hike, drift show, fitness shows, chess competition and screening of the Euro Cup final game
Visitors can watch performances by Hanin Al Alam, musicians, DJs, and entertainers. Furthermore, VR games, paragliding, aerial dance shows, a light show and hot-air ballooning will be part of the program.
