Whispering Leaves at the Carré d’artistes
Summer is coming to an end but at the end of this season it is often an Indian summer tinged with a foretaste of autumn and all the superb shades of it that loom on the horizon.
From September 1 to November 30 at the Carré d'artistes gallery on Fakhry Bey Street in downtown Beirut, which is considered the first network of Contemporary Art galleries in the world, the exhibition "Whispering Leaves" will showcase highlighted an assortment of canvases of all styles and artists combined, however, linked by the same common thread which is none other than a palette of tawny colors which remind us of the gradients of autumn.
This is what you will be able to admire in an explosion of brown, green, yellow and orange-red signed Tatiana Stéphan in a very particular technique using "ink alcohol" or in another style of urban landscapes at Christian Rafin where certain paintings which above all represent the most picturesque oriental souks always favor these shades of rust without forgetting the work of the Swede Jonas Lundh where a symphony of yellow, brown and green is also very present on the high seas, including some paintings by Lionel Valot which through their surrealism sometimes release these same warm hues or particularly a canvas signed Jessy Tabet which through its figurative art overlooks a perspective in warm hues of the Beirut roofs without forgetting the remarkable work of Fauve and Karine Romanelli who also highlight these nuances coppery and a final theme always in the same perennial and sustained tones that are the proud and luxuriant trees of Nada Kouyoumjian, a young Lebanese artist who has just joined the Carré d'artiste network.
