The Turn, Anas Albraehe at Saleh Barakat Gallery
Albraehe, like a dream messenger, ushers us into a world where the familiar becomes eerie, shapes morphing before our eyes. On the canvas, the body becomes a mountain, the head turns into stone. Viewers are compelled to navigate the spaces between forms, between waking life and sleep.
His paintings immerse us in intimate, disorienting moments, serving as reminders of the powerful unknown—often overlooked aspects of existence. Here, spaces of unknowing and the uncanny take center stage.
Dreams are not meant to be concealed; they are places.
