We invite you to a relaxing sunset hike between the cedars, on Saturday the 06th of November. We are going to a new territory, to a higher site... It’s wonderful!!! SUNSET HIKE LOCATION : Barouk- Maasser Al-Shouf /Al-Shouf. ============= 1200 to 1950 meters above sea level. 64 km from Beirut. . WHEN : Saturday, November 06, 2021 ===== ENCOUNTER PLACE : Mar Abda Church parking facing the New-bridge, Jal =============== El Dib @ 1:00 PM FEES: ==== 130,000 LL/person including transport (Open windows), professional guides, 5 minutes warming up, stretching, and pictures. Optional transportation by your own vehicles. (99,000 LL/person) Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 10%. (120,000 LL/person) Groups of 5 and plus get a discount of 10%/person (120,000 LL/person). There is a 20.000 LL Extra entrance fee to Barouk Cedars Forest DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: ====================== This time you are going for a hike while enjoying the fresh air and watching the beautiful autumn sunset in the Shouf area. So, don’t miss the opportunity to contemplate the sky and the nature of the region from the Cedars reserve, where we are going to be. You will walk for a couple of hours between the beautiful cedars forest overlooking the villages of Mount Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea. Both Levels will start from the entrance of Arz Barouk forest, walking along the cliff overlooking the entire plain of Shouf. You will see the oldest cedar tree aged 3000 years, and a beautiful tree Lamartine (or Sawma’a). LEVEL 3 (trail of 1.5 hour approximately) from the beautiful Artificial Lake, you’ll take a dirty road (Hoopoe track) to Masief el Mir, then will take the bus to the entrance of Maasser Al-Shouf. You can take a lot of unforgettable pictures there. The scenery is great! LEVEL 4 (about 8 km) Our trail is easy, you will head to Maasser Al-Shouf. From Masief el Mir, you’ll descend another road (Crow Track) to the entrance of the reserve, where you will meet level 3 under Lamartine Tree. You will have minimal time for rest. Fresh air and a calm atmosphere out in nature is the best way to spend an autumn evening. As usual, we will end this night’s adventure at Eid Guesthouse for a cozy gathering around a fire camp for a homemade dinner (mankouche, …) boil tea and roasted potatoes prepared by local villagers. This sunset hike must not be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: Distancing from each other is a must. Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus. Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. Don’t let any adventure go by untried. Live your life to the fullest!
