Laqlouq, also spelled Laklouk is a small mountainous village in mountainous area in the Jbeil District of Mount Lebanon Governorate, Lebanon.

Gleaming! This is the meaning of the name Laqlouq, the gleam of the year-round snows!

65,000 LL per person including transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), guides, 5 minutes warming up, stretching, pictures & snowshoes. Special price 60,000 LL for young under 18 years old.

Optional transportation by your own vehicles. 50,000 LL/person

Cancellation requests must be received at least 24 hours prior to the event start date. Cancellations received with less than 24 hours’ notice will forfeit the amount of 30,000 L.L. as provision for liquidated damages.

 

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Laqlouq is a winter resort, encircled by jagged ridges and terraces bearing thousands of trees. In addition to alpine skiing, Laqlouq is also one of the best resorts suited for cross-country skiing. Mostly visited by families, Laqlouq had its first ski lift installed in 1958, followed by major enhancements to the slopes and the creation of a (very) qualified ski school.

 

As usual, there will be two levels of difficulty.

Level 3: About 6 KM (3 hours) An easy walk, with very light ascents and descents. It is ideal for picture taking. It will be a great snowshoeing session and a lovely day with the group.

Level 5: About 10 KM (3.5 hours) It is a moderate walk with long ascents, but not steep ones. This level is strictly for advanced walkers; long delay is not an option.
Photos shall be taken on the move or when we stop for a break.

 

You will be able to see rare views particular to this altitude terrain. The scenery is great! Changes from this stage, you will pass through white peaks, giving the impression of being in the sky at Saydet El-Qaren. The trail will take you to a beautiful lake, it’s quiet and you will have lunch in this beautiful area.

Laqlouq is a destination for vacationers all year long thanks to its beautiful scenery, dramatic views and pedestrian village.

Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions:

Distancing from each other is a must.

Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are in the bus.  

Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

 

 

WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen woolen hat and gloves. Don't forget anything waterproof to prevent your clothes from getting wet. Wear comfortable walking shoes (Professional brand is recommended) and don't forget to get a light jacket.
