Red at Carré D’Artistes at Downtown
Despite the current challenges faced by the region, Carré d’Artistes gallery remains committed to cater to you with a new exhibition every season.
Our upcoming exhibit, titled “Red”, will be held from November 30th 2023, to February 29th 2024, at our gallery located on Fakhry Bey Street in Downtown Beirut.
If red is the color associated with blood and anger, we choose to approach this momentum differently. To continue to smile artistically. To resist and strive culturally. To convey it festively!
So for this season, red will be! Red for Christmas. Red for Valentine's Day. Red for our everlasting flag of the day!
Our picture rails will showcase a selection of works by several talented artists, namely Odile Escolier in her slender style inspired by Giacometti, Sophie Costa and Kikayou bringing forth upcycling and Pop Art, Naï with her surrealism and poetic brushstrokes and Naen for her abstract yet ethereal smokes often featuring hues and effects ranging from vermillion, to carmine, cardinal and poppy red.
Our sculptures are also joining in the celebration, with Novarino’s Kiss-Kiss puzzle, Zed’s flexos aptly names “Be lover”, “Be dreamer”, and “Be free”, Ravi’s nod to Banksy, and Virginie Laurent’s bright red hearts and Mickeys, all contributing to the festive atmosphere, vividly and
artsy-craftsy!
