Hiking Trip to Maknouniyeh Hills with DALE CORAZON - LEBANON EXPLORERS & Outdoor Activities with The Little Explorer!

New Trail.

Join us this Saturday 20th to experience a new type of ecological activity in one of the most charming places in the Jezzine district. It’s about outdoor activities, hiking and a tour at Maknouniyeh /Jezzine village.

 

HIKE LOCATION                       :  Maknouniyeh -Jezzine - South Lebanon

140,000 LL/person including transport (Open windows), professional guides, 5 minutes warming up, stretching, and pictures.

Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 8% (130,000 LL/person)

Groups of 5 and plus get a discount of 8% (130,000 LL/person)

Optional transportation by your own vehicles 99,000 LL/person

There is a 20.000LL Extra entrance fee to the camp.

 

 

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

The name, Jezzine, derives from the Aramaic (Syriac) word, meaning "depot" or "store". Many historians believe that Jezzine served as a storing location for traders because of its strategic location on the caravan route that connected the ancient port city of Sidon to the Chouf, the Beqaa Valley, and to Syria

 

We will be at Maknouniyeh, a charming peaceful village. This place is distinguished by its large and exquisite pine forest; a unique destination for those who want to leave the city behind and savor the beauty of nature.

 

You will benefit from various activities that suit all the members.

What’s on the menu?

 

• HIKING: (LEVEL 4 ( 6.5 Km) You will walk from the intersection and go through the breathtaking pine forest of Maknouniyeh, the walk in the forest is uphill. The track will lead you to Rockland campground for a quick visit. From there, you will continue toward the cliff “Chir en Nqar” will get the feeling of being on top of the world! and then go downhill toward a pine forest until you arrive at Deir Mar Botros wa Boulos – Qattine where there are huge oak trees to Nabaat Al-Mahbasse to the site camp. The lunch will be there.

 

• INTERACTIVE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: this type of activity boost kids’ imagination, empower teamwork spirit, and increase curiosity for sensory experimentation:


• Assembling ‘’autumn’’ elements & crafting!


• Setting a campfire: collect the wood, wrap potatoes, marshmallows.


• Feeding the animals.


• Hiking for kids 2.5 Km approx.


• Tour in tractor around 2 Km.

 

• PLAYGROUND & ZIPLINE.

Then, our picnic area will be in the campground where we will have lunch together in a restful place in nature under the local trees of oaks.

You can order your sandwiches/meals (Saj - Kaake) directly from the nearby kiosk.

Later, we will visit the village of Jezzine, starting from the water source of Jezzine, and you will see how the water is coming out of the tunnel that goes deep inside the mountain. From there to the souk and if we are lucky, we will visit the cutlery workshop and see how they are made. You will walk to the piazza of Jezzine and then to "Our Lady Church" overlooking the spectacular simultaneous sea and mountain views.

Jezzine's hike is not just a hike in very beautiful nature, along streams, ponds, huge trees, souk, and breathtaking views. It is a cultural tour as well.

You have the option to do only the outdoor activities experience if you don’t want to do the hiking trail.

 

This event is convenient for all ages; the whole family can enjoy it! An early reservation is advised.

Distancing from each other is a must.

Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus. 

Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

Healthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
