WHEN : Saturday, August 21, 2021 ===== ENCOUNTER PLACE : Mar Maroun Church Parking, Dora @ 2:45 P.M. =============== Driving directions to Mar Maroun https://dalecorazon.com/contact/ FEES: ==== 110,000 LBP/person or $5.5/person including transport (Open windows), professional guides, 5 minutes warming up, stretching, and pictures. (Tips are greatly appreciated). Children 18 years old and younger will have a discount of 15%. ($5 per person or equivalent in LBP as per the market rate) Optional transportation by your own vehicles. | Tannourine is home to over 70 000 ancient cedar trees such as the ‘’Cedrus Libani’’ species, a variety of pines, poplars, and other tree species like Cupressus, Pinus, Abies, and Populus It is believed that some of these trees can sometimes age between 1000 and 2000 years. Covering 12 square km, Tannourine Nature Reserve lies in a splendidly beautiful area and protects one oN.B. HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous Level 4 (5.5 KM - 2.5 Hours) is an easy and pleasing trail. We will enjoy the fresh air and watch the beautiful summer sunset. The stunning mountainous landscape, with cedars seemingly defying gravity and growing on extremely vertical slopes, is impressive. Will be able to see rare types of flowers particular to this high-altitude terrain. The scenery is just great. We will discover the old landmarks of the area. As usual, we will end this night’s adventure by a cozy gathering around a fire camp for a homemade mankoushe dinner on a saj, boil tea, and roasted potatoes cooked by local villagers. This sunset hike is not to be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
