What does the night reserve from places’ experience during the day?
“If You Wish To See Me Dancing, You Ought To Visit the Passing Cloud'' is an installation performance by Petra Serhal, taking the audience into a post-apocalyptic city soaked in darkness, where remaining artificial eyes stalk, film and expose a wandering woman.
Using technology and documentation, this installation aims to connect the live present audience with the documented past and its phantoms through an audiovisual one-on-one experience.
This installation is the third in a series of work experimenting with ‘documentation’ and ‘live’ in performances and the affect that each produces in its audience. The first two performances, “Live /laiv/” and “If You Wish To See Me Dancing, You Ought To Visit the Passing Cloud (Instagram),” took place online where the virtual realm was the performance’s space.
