Hiking and Swimming at AFQA with DALE CORAZON - LEBANON EXPLORERS!!!

Join us for an amazing trail, to explore the beautiful AFQA Nature Reserve located in the Byblos district, and enjoy the freshness of the water grotto and waterfalls at this time of year, we will hike together in one group along a down easy path of just 8 KM. The views are remarkable. We can see Jabal Moussa and Nahr Ibrahim valley with all the villages surrounding the valley as Aqoura, Kartaba, Ghabat, Yanouh, Etc,

290,000 LL/person or 10 $ including transport, professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous

Level 4 (8 km, approx. 2:45Hr) We will start the hike from the hills of Lassa, one of the most spectacular villages of Mount Lebanon overlooking Nahr Ibrahim gorge. Along the way we will visit Nabi Hadwan, a walk to the sanctuary located on the steep cliff is a must to see. We will see as well the old juniper trees and then go down to visit a great and ancient temple located near the waterfall and the impressive Afqa Grotto. There, ritual prostitution was practiced until the time of Constantine in Afqa village.

The main feature of Lassa and Afqa is the beautiful rock formations spread throughout the villages. We get to walk on an agricultural road along the mountain cliff “Chir El Jalse” overlooking the spectacular simultaneous sea and mountain, reach in breathtaking views.

We will end the hike at Afqa Grotto and the waterfall. Then will continue down to the river bank near another waterfall and pond beneath a Roman ridge for lunch, relax under the shade of the trees and enjoy the sound of water. We may benefit from a swim in the clean transparent water as well. where we will take some magical photos. (There is a snack shop nearby)

Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions:

Distancing from each other is a must.

Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus.  

Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

 WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don't forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches.
