About Beit Tamanna

Having recently opened in a beautiful heritage building on Gouraud Street, Beit Tamanna is bringing something special to the country’s guesthouse scene.

The eight-room property is owned and operated by Tamanna, a Lebanese NGO known for its work in supporting sick children and youngsters.

The story

Each of the exquisitely furnished rooms tells a different story, inspired by the dreams and childlike fantasies of the designers and architects who worked on the project and graciously dedicated their time, energy and resources to making the house come to life. They include Rania Cortbawi, Marc Dibeh, Bokja, Samer Alameen, Hania Rayess, Maria Ousseimi, Georgy Gatserlia, Georges Mohasseb, Nada Debs, Rola Vincent, Maya Barbir, Antoine Asmar, Sherif Aoun and Elie Abs. The result is a glorious fusion of organic fabrics, soothing pastels and elegant touches.

Fulfilling wishes

Beit Tamanna’s own focus is to fulfill the wishes of critically ill children aged between three and 18. Indeed, revenue generated by the guesthouse will go toward turning these wishes into reality, empowering children to combat their illnesses, spreading hope and happiness in times of great stress and hardship.

“Lebanon and its people have witnessed one unprecedented crisis after another, and critically ill children in Lebanon have not been spared. Today, they are even more in need of the chance to dream of a brighter future,” said Diala El Fil, Founder of Tamanna and Beit Tamanna. “So when the economic crisis hit, Tamanna’s funds vanished, then the blast ripped through our offices. Needless to say, dreams were dimmed, and we needed to ensure viability of the organization to fulfill wishes… From this starting point, Beit Tamanna was born,” she added.

Rooms start at 120 USD. For more details, visit beittammana.com.
