by LBTAdmin

Beirut is getting ready to host the fifth edition of Whisky Live, the world-renowned event for whisky connoisseurs and enthusiasts, from December 1 to 3 at Seaside Pavilion. We take a look at what makes this three-day event so special.

1. If you’re into whisky, it’s the place to be

Whisky Live Beirut will bring together 60 specialist producers, distributors and suppliers, thereby offering visitors a rare opportunity to sample some of the finest international whiskies, including premium single malts, bourbons, Scotch, Irish and Japanese whiskies.

2. Socializing at its best

Besides the wonderful ambience, delicious whisky and numerous activities, Whisky Live Beirut is recognized as a place to mingle. Indeed, the 2019 edition welcomed over 3,000 visitors, and a larger crowd is expected this year.

3. Masterclasses, a Star Bar and so much more

More than 20 small-group masterclasses will be taking place at Whisky Live Beirut. Led by international brand ambassadors, the classes will allow visitors to learn about different kinds of whiskies and taste limited-edition bottles.

New to the 2022 program, the Chefs’ Table will host exclusive whisky-pairing charity dinners with celebrity chefs. Full proceeds from ticket sales will go to three associations that support families and kids who are in need of specialist medical treatment.

Furthermore, the VIP Table and Star Bar will provide enthusiasts with unique spaces to enjoy rare whiskies and interact with renowned international whisky experts, while the Coffee in Good Spirits Competition will encourage young talents to display their skills in making alcohol-based coffee beverages.

4. Spirits made in Lebanon

In addition to new releases by world-famous whisky brands, a selection of Lebanese whiskies and gins will be launched at the show, highlighting Lebanese innovation and entrepreneurship. “Supporting local production is part of our philosophy, and we are very excited that the fifth edition will pay tribute to the industrialists who are bringing something new to the market and taking positive strides in these challenging times,” says Joumana Dammous- Salamé, managing director of Hospitality Services, organizer of Whisky Live Beirut.

5. A place to buy Christmas gifts

The Whisky Boutique by The Malt Gallery will feature a rich selection of whiskies for guests to purchase at special prices, so you can be sure that you’ll find the perfect gift for a whisky-loving friend or relative.

There will also be a section for upcycled items made by bright Lebanese talents, including lamps made from alcohol bottles, scented candles and other fun and sustainable gift ideas.
